Somnetics AirMist HME Waterless Humidifiers & Adapter for Transcend Micro CPAP Machine

The Somnetics AirMist HME Waterless Humidifiers & Adapter for Transcend Micro CPAP Machine is an inline humidification solution unit for use with Somnetics Transcend Micro Travel CPAP Machine. This is a waterless humidification adapter used with Micro CPAP to avoid dry throat. A great alternative to large humidifiers when traveling with your CPAP machine.  This kit allows you to retain your own exhaled humidity instead of drying out your airway. It connects in line with your tubing and mask easily. The HME moisture capsule captures the heat and moisture from the air and exhalations, preserving and increasing humidity to prevent your airways from drying out. HME Filters are a great option for travel, or battery powered, CPAPs where a traditional heated humidifier may be impractical. These inline HME waterless humidifiers are easy to install and should not require re-calibration. Simply attach the HME between your mask and your Transcend Micro’s breathing tube. After that, turn on your machine and experience a steady flow of humidified sleep therapy air.

NOTE: 

*** The Waterless HME is compatible with Transcend Micro only. The foam cartridge is recommended to be replaced 7 days after opening. Should be changed as needed when humidification levels appear to drop
usually about once a week with proper storage and nightly use. When not in use HMEs should be stored a sealed plastic bag (i.e. a ZipLock).

***When selecting a mask, it is recommended to choose a CPAP mask with elbow and swivel and not with the short tube. The reason is because the HME will not work well with masks that have a short tube extended fro
the mask frame. The HME must be very close to the moisture of exhaled air to function properly. It must be connected to the masks’s elbow and swivel in order to receive optimal results.
