The Universal Waterless Humidifier HME (Heat Moisture Exchange) for ALL Travel CPAP and BIPAP Machines  is an inline humidification solution unit for use with ALL CPAP & BiPAP Machines and CPAP Masks. It is a waterless humidification that requires no additional power and takes up very little space. A great alternative to large humidifiers when traveling with your CPAP machine. The HME moisture capsules for CPAP & BiPAP therapy capture the heat and moisture from the air and exhalations, preserving and increasing humidity to prevent your airways from drying out. HME Filters are a great option for travel, or battery powered, CPAPs where a traditional heated humidifier may be impractical. These inline HME waterless humidifier are easy to install and should not require re-calibration on most CPAP /BiPAP machines. Simply attach the HME between your mask and your standard CPAP/BiPAP breathing tube. After that, turn on your machine and experience a steady flow of humidified sleep therapy air.
NOTE: The Waterless HME is compatible with all travel CPAP Machines as long as regular non-heated tubing is used. Heat Moisture Exchange Humidifiers should be changed as needed when humidification levels appear to drop — usually about once a week with proper storage and nightly use. When not in use HMEs should be stored a sealed plastic bag (i.e. a ZipLock).

When selecting a mask, the Heat Moisture Exchange Unit for CPAP Machines will not work with masks that have a short tube extended from the mask frame. The HME must be very close to the moisture of exhaled air to function properly. It must be connected to the masks’s elbow and swivel in order to receive optimal results.
